Btw, I’ve just become a loud and proud Founder member of Nick’s Substack. A bargain at £200! If you’ve not considered supporting the great work he does for all of us: with his un-censored razor sharp content, and ballsy defence of basic principles (we’d expect the conservatives to support but they don’t ) like innocence until proof of guilt, then please put your hand in your pocket. Underpay the Hmrc tax bill by £200 to create the spare cash flow if you haven’t got it, they are so inefficient they won’t notice for a couple of years 😂 and by then, inflation will mean you can buy one potato for £200 so all good.

Given your impression of Jordan Peterson is so good, you could pretend to interview him.

In all seriousness, Gavin Ashenden, former chaplain to HM is a wonderful man of the cloth who talks with immense wisdom. If he was my vicar, rather than the communist in a cassock we had, I would actually go to church.

Haha. Both good ideas, thanks!

Perhaps you should have a few subscribers on. We listen to the same voices. I imagine you have followers with interesting lives and thoughts. It would be something different. I'm nearly 60. Was a football hooligan in 80s, born again Christian, police officer, football intelligence Divinity Degree, Hunt saboteur...... A tiny glimpse into my life. I'm one of many of your followers who have had life's of interest and still think critically.

Borrieboy seems to have a similar thought. Worth a try?

Nigel, we should connect. Also Scottish. Not a unionist (although voted for union in Indy 1) and always WAS a Tory, I’ll now vote ALBA as Alex at least is anti NATO and pro peace.

Sounds good Thor, what's the best way to connect. I'm not on LinkedIn but am on Twitter. I'm going to the next FSU meeting next week in Edinburgh.

Not that my advice is worth a toot but there’s no shortage of podcasts with the same interviews/interviewers doing the same circuits, so to stay original and “ear catching”, perhaps a divergence? Between Iain Dale’s focus on politicians, Delingpole’s focus on some “nutcases” and others on the usual talking heads, a new space would be intriguing. It would be interesting to hear some Vox Pops from intelligent but not famous types; not as whole episodes but as feeders for discussion with the usual serious talking heads… you know, what most people think… oh, hold on..

Perhaps interview non famous creatives and enterprising types ( 🙌, this may be self serving 😂) who live in woke world but love not by lies. Who are pushing back despite the personal risk. A lady I can intro is a copywriter for Uber and regularly fights back on all kinds of D&I hogwash. Btw, not that it should matter, but she’s mixed race! Balls of steel!

LIVE not by lies. Loving not by lies is a whole other bed of dreams 😜

Shouldn’t have bothered with the correction - I think love not by lies is perfect

Great news! Very much looking forward to the podcast. Of course Jordan Peterson, but also your previous life as a comedian, why you chose that and how you became “red-pilled”.

Second request for comedy stuff, will have a think. Last point also a good suggestion, and actually the two are related since the horror of the comedy world is a large part of the answer. Thanks!

Conservative Rebel Podcast 👍

A few interview ideas 😁

Top of my list right now would have to be Chris Barrie as he's someone I've never heard interviewed before but the bit I've read from him demonstrated how totally wide awake he is. Please try and interview Chris!

Then a little list of good interesting folks in my humble opinion 🙂 typically well known on the podcast scene...

Dominique Samuels

Abi Roberts

The Freds

Matt Le Tissier

Bob Moran

Dr Cartland

Mattias Desmet

Andrew Bridgen

Carl Benjamin

Rav Arora

Ed Dowd

Matt Hoy

Gareth Icke

Leilani Dowding

Jasmine Birtles

Sonia Elijah

Okay, sorry, I'll stop 😅

Chris Barrie would be awesome, I saw that post too. Abi a good call. Carl has already agreed, in principle at least. All good suggestions, thanks!

How about James Delingpole? I respect both of you but I’d like to hear you debate so I can see where your views differ.

Good call. Though not sure James likes me anymore, but I could be wrong.

I'm sure he'd be up for it if you ask him! You seem to have similar views and you're both Christians.

Great news and look forward to the podcast. This has prompted me to upgrade to paid on your substack.

Seriously - try and get an interview with Top G from prison. It was clearly a joke but last night on Talk Radio I heard Jeremy Kyle announce a forthcoming interview with Ghislaine Maxwell - from prison!

Definitely guest interview with Thor!

Plus please, please can you interview the brave doctors & MPs & others who are risking their careers to speak out about Covid vaccine damage & death - they need to be given as many platforms as possible. Whilst I love James D, being given a platform by a, what did you call yourself - centrist red pilled person or similar ;-) I feel would be helpful in accelerating the tipping point which I very much hope is approaching.

Conspiracy moderate! I'm not sure I'm perceived as the respectable voice we need on that, at least not according to Private Eye, but good suggestion nonetheless.

Looking forward to your podcast. As for guests everyone suggesting the usual suspects. Abi Roberts is a good shout as she doesn't get a lot of airtime. How about Moosefucker, Craig Campbell. He is articulate and fearless. I'll come on, as I keep harping on you need another Scotsman in your life who isn't a Unionist.

Anyways, looking forward to it. All the very best. Nigel

Nick, I'd like to see you interviewing some Conservative MPs on what it means to be conservative (you could give them some tips!). Also, if you can also look at some concerning policies of the Woke, e.g. the proposed UK government bill that seeks make it illegal to try and change someone’s “gender identity” in light of blocking Scotland's gender recognition act. I think we have the right to debate and question this ideology without being labeled a hater.

Does anyone care what those morally compromised ass holes think at this stage? I have helped one get elected in Scotland using my comms/strategy and their pathetic normie rationalisations and ‘support the current thing, vax everything that moves (till it can’t due to vax injury) and all hail Saint Zelenskyy, confiscate the Russians cash illegally justifying assholes? Really, even a loyal fan of Nick like me would rather listen to Owen bloody Jones than those traitors whining on. Bridgen excepted. Cheers. Thor. Ps, if I sound like a jilted bride, yes, the fucking Tories took my vote for decades and then they started fucking over small landlords (their own base) and raced to the woke bottom, as if THAT would win them votes. Amazing.

Expand full comment

Hey Thor, yes, I agree that Bridgen is the only one with some balls! I figure also that one has to engage with the political class, otherwise they just disappear into their own bubble. The tories need to learn more of what the silent (and vocal) majority want in terms of reshaping politics and civil society, and that we want to be governed less.

Well, since you ask: I'd like to hear stuff about the difference between "conservatism" that is about good husbandry, the Scruton home and Burkean flourishing; and "conservatism" that is rapacious transnational universalist corporatism.

Ha, good call, thanks. I have covered that a bit. I've just made this one free as a version of it has now appeared on Daily Sceptic (Toby tried to take out the immigration bits, I put some back in, but this is the only uncensored version).

Good work getting the immigration back in; it is a blind spot for Toby. I nearly crashed the car when he said on the Weekly Sceptic mass immigration had made the food better. It may, or may not have, but it has come at the price of shattering our national identity. A person’s identity is built on the stories they tell about themselves. A nation’s is built on the stories we share: Nativity plays, Christmas carols, Francis Drake, 1966 World Cup, the Coronation ceremony etc. Now fully a quarter of the population do not share those stories and those stories are rapidly being made unacceptable or drastically altered in the interests of being inclusive/not ‘racist’. Then what is left to identify with?

Expand full comment

I think that brits are used to being handed this stuff on a plate; also that identity and belonging are slightly different. I never questioned the BBC telling me what to think, so it was disorienting to lose that. However, having to make a conscious choice of where to belong made me less dependent on other people's stories, and clearer about what I want and what I don't.
