I thought it was unlikely that they'd be out before 2029, but I'm starting to wonder. More of the same policies will lead to more bad results. Better get used to seeing socialists cry. I've joined Restore Britain. It's 20 quid and it doesn't rule anything else out.
It would be nice to think Farage like so many before him, is lying through his centrist teeth in order to attain power, before wreaking vengeance on those who have incrementally destroyed this country for the last 40 years. The reality is we'll get something like a John Major Reform government. Labour will shake the money tree for all its worth these next 4 years, and it won't matter who inherits their legacy because debt interest will be running at several times GDP.
The most succinct summing up of the current political situation I’ve heard. To me, Reform are rapidly becoming the third cheek of the uniparty arse (a three cheeked arse takes some imagining!). I’ve also joined Rupert Lowe’s Restore Britain as I like the idea of a movement that can seek to influence rather than yet another party.
Excellent wee short Nick. The sound is different to normal, in a good way! It fits the purpose perfectly and I reckon brings out the chuckles and such that highlight the humour behind serious subjects. Don’t change this! ;)
Spot on Nick. I agree with everything. For ‘thinking folks’ the Reform fiascos are highly disappointing and frustrating. However, though I share the same sentiment as you around Reform, and prefer the much more consistent, authentic and credible Ben Habib (and Rupert Lowe), Reform will be my tactical vote since they have become our only realistic opportunity to kick the uni party into touch. I’d literally vote for a cabbage patch doll if it had the chance to up-turn the current system. And as for banning Halal products, I don’t think we should ban anything. Total freedom on choice and freedom of speech is all I want. Like the car thing, freedom to buy a petrol, diesel, battery, no silly mandates imposing things that a free market will decide, because it’s a tide you cannot stop. The activist groups have a lot to answer for. Whilst us busy folks are working full time paying for everything, these a’holes are convincing our stupid elites to create evermore controlling regulation and over-reach affecting our personal choices and freedom. Look at the state of the place since Covid. Never again! It needs to stop drastically, it’s gone too far. It comes from socialist brains who want to micromanage every aspect of other folks lives. Why don’t they concentrate on themselves, and leave me alone?
Thanks David. I agree broadly about freedom and too much regulation. But a high trust, self-regulating society doesn’t work when you’ve imported cultures who are very willing to exploit the native culture in order to destroy it. Hence if we don’t ban Sharia etc that’s what we’ll get.
Can’t disagree with that either. I’d rather we didn’t need to regulate but as you say, sometimes we need it to protect. However, currently our elites are protecting the wrong folks🤣
Thanks for cheering us up. The Uniparty has lost its credibility and ability to govern, but carries on regardless. This is Downfall territory where they know the are toast but will just keep going in the hope that something will turn up. I share your concerns about Farage, but he is holding the Ming vase now and needs to tread carefully. A lot can happen in the next four years, things can get a lot worse.
I fear it will not be clear for a long time, if ever, who we can possibly vote for in the future, none are up to the task currently. Feeling very disillusioned.
Still laughing though at the new category of the Batshit Left, and at the reference to Belinda Carlisle.
July 5, 2025 - As an American "political ruffian" by U.K. standards, and a lifelong anglophile. I think while chaos seems to be breaking out in U.K. politics, it may be a good thing that the party system is fragmenting. For one thing, it appears to me that the Brits are starting to care more about politics.. and less about crying over some Footee player who recently passed away. I saw more people getting emotional about the guy's passing than I did about grooming gangs and lunatic Leftist "activists" doing all kinds of criminal mischief. In my comments (rants) in the comments sections of channels similar to this one. In my American opinionated way.. I say that Brits have to start getting angry about what is being done to their country by international elites, and their puppet Leftist/Socialist/Marxist corrupt and incompetent politicians. Brits need to STOP "Keeping calm and carrying on", and saying dignified things like.."My dear chap.. that just isn't done." Like many countries, including the U.S., a political class has stopped serving the population that elected/"hired" them, and become dictators. In my opinion, the populations of the Western "democracies" are living in what I call the "Neo-Medieval" or "Neo-Middle ages". The ruling class still exists, but just has different titles, e.g. billionaire = Count or Prince.
