I’ve never read any of them but I’m gonna, I could listen to you talk about them all day. You have a very engaging voice 🫶

Thanks Mark!

Had never read Bernhard or Houllebecq before Nick's pieces on them, despite always considering myself well read (however conventional, old school A Level lists). Looking forward to discovering new works

Good luck with your channel, Nick. I have “liked and subscribed” in support. Even though literature is not really my thing (forgive me!), I have read or listened to most of your past book substacks and have been surprised by how engaged I’ve been.

I have trouble getting into books because I am too easily distracted - it takes me weeks to get through a novel. Audiobooks, on the other hand, I can immerse myself in, especially when the narration is good, and I enjoyed many during the lockdowns especially. I was wondering if you still listen to audiobooks, as you have said you did in the past? Or have you gone back to physical books? Does it make a significant difference to your appreciation if you read the words rather than hear them?

My nickdixon.net annual subscription renews on Wednesday and I am looking forward to watching, reading and listening to your output of all kinds for another 12 months.

Hi Andrea, thanks so much for continuing to subscribe. I couldn’t do any of this without you. As for your question, I listen to loads of audiobooks, but only non-fiction. For me, fiction has to be read. I was going to mention this in a forthcoming video actually. But for things like biographies or politics, Audible is great.

Great, ive subscribed. I'm glad you've found an outlet away from politics, that after last week's Dixon coxs you clearly need somthing away from politics

Excellent idea. The country is in such a bad way, that sometimes I just want to lose myself in a book.

Great to hear. Will you be featuring new books, by any chance? If so, I'd like to propose this one. It's very based. Happy to send you a free copy.
