The government has become too managerial and too many people are content with that.

Notions of anything being too white is just repulsive racism and frankly I think its worth a smack in the mouth.

Not content with inept over management of our towns and cities, the Labour machine rolls into the countryside with their antidiluvian racism attempting to consign all things British to the sin bin, spearheaded of course by dogs, scarecrows next no doubt!!!

Hi Nick. Thank you for the video - I look forward to watching it.

This is an absurd idea about the countryside being too white. My dog will always be on a lead when out in a town or a rural area. If people don't like dogs, well, tough.

Dogs shouldn’t have to be on leads at all times in the country. They know where they’re going and like to run ahead then back when they’re young, and it seems to be one of their greatest joys. The only trouble is near fields with sheep and if gates are left open.

Just to be clear: he's always on a lead because I worry he'll run off and not come back, not for any other reason.

Re: that Jeevan Sandhu idiot - the "Matt Goodwin isn't really very British" is obviously an attack line that's gone out on the left's Whatsapp groups, I've seen it a few times now and they clearly think it's some sort of devastatingly effective rhetorical flourish. They're delusional, everyone normal is just going to laugh at it.

Good on you Nick. I share your outrage at this stuff, infuriating is exactly the right word. Why can't they just leave us alone? I loathe these people and their endless technocratic meddling. It's evil.

I've been visiting the Lake District since I was a kid, and I go walking there a couple of times a year with two old friends from Newcastle, we've been doing that since 1996. It's one of the great treasures of the world. Trying to change it and the way of life of its people should be regarded as a grave cultural crime.

"Make the countryside less white" = Make England less English

How did the self-negation-as-virtue mindset get so much traction?

Dear Nick, you sound really dispirited by all of this malarkey. Don't let the suckers get you down. I suspect that currently Labour politicians would have the same reception in our rural areas and farming communities as they've had in the pubs, which I find oddly cheering. This whole idea is racist and silly. Nobody's being prevented from visiting the countryside - just please follow the Countryside Code. Simples.

Well I just hate the idea of them destroying my home, and I’ve already seen it partially ruined just from immigration in general.

I used to subscribe to a major hillwalking organisation which had its own quarterly magazine. It became apparent that the editorial staff were unbearably woke as time went on, with articles about possibly banning men from some mountains completely so that females could have safe zones....... But the last straw was the edition in which the leading article on the front page was about how we all (indigenous folk) needed to be more aware of the issues faced by minorities trying to enjoy the outdoors. The headline that faced me as I removed the mag from its envelope anticipating a pleasant cup of tea and a nice read of walk routes, photography, book recommendations and suchlike: "Walking During Ramadan" !

It’s worth remembering that our (the non-ruling classes) access to the countryside is a fairly recent thing. Prior to 1949 it was entirely at the landowners’ discretion. Someone has said that the English peasantry and yeomanry were the first victims of the British elite’s colonialism, when the latter effectively stole the common lands under enclosure, beginning in the 16th century. Eventually the vast majority of the country population were driven off the land to work in factories and live in urban slums. I suspect making the countryside “less white” is the current elite’s attempt to repeat the trick.

It always surprises me when we have to be lectured by foreigners about what makes us English

It's enraging and IMO everyone who wrote the report (I'm guessing they're all white liberals) should be fired, tarred and feathered. But I don't think it will go anywhere. BTW a joke I saw was if they want more muzzies in the countryside they should open schools.

Keep the countryside white. They have their areas. Let us have ours.

How about making the towns less Brown ?

India and Pakistan, African Nations, Arabic Nations etc, try doing this in those places, you would likely not last to the weekend.

They are cornering the majority into a corner; this is going to get nasty.
