Hey. Nick here. Obviously.
I’ve just released what I believe is a fascinating conversation with the very cool Tanner Guzy.
Tanner is a men’s stylist (though he prefers the term ‘appearance psychology’), Mormon, and all around G.
We talk about style, masculinity, the culture war, history and more, and he is extremely articulate and insightful throughout.
This is somewhat new territory for the podcast, though by no means off brand.
We discuss:
-Why caring about style and fitness have become almost political acts
-How we’ve come to see men’s style as effeminate, when historically the warrior class cared the most about appearance
-Why we need to ditch the cynical Gen-X mindset on making an effort with our appearance and other areas of life
-Why you have to ‘summit cringe mountain to reach the valley of cool’
-How Roger Scruton’s views on beauty apply to personal style
-Where he starts with men who are struggling with their style, and why clothing is only one part of the process
-His style breakdowns of Jordan Peterson, Donald Trump, Andrew Tate, and Daniel Craig
-How people can dress well on a budget
-His take on Red Pill vs Tradcon
-Why winning the culture war requires that we build rather than just react

Great conversation - reposted to Twitter.
Hi Nick,
Had the pleasure of attending the talk on Andrew Tate, at Battle of Ideas where you were on the panel. Really enjoyed your input!
I thought it was an important convo and partly inspired me to write this.
