Hello everyone. Happy New Year and all that shit.
Sorry for the lack of Substack posts lately. I have resolved to do more this year. It is not a New Year’s Resolution, as they never last. Plus they imply hope, and obviously I have none of that.
My lack of posts towards the end of last year was a mixture of being busy (podcasts, TV, drinking), putting too much pressure on myself to hit my standard of amazing articles (everyone knows I am one of the best writers in the country, so it’s tough), and my distaste for the new Substack layout (I preferred the old one).
However, I have now quit drinking (not a Resolution) and am going to radically lower the bar for what constitutes a good post. I am still busy.
While we’re here, have you checked out my recent podcast episode with Dr Paul Morland, on the collapse of birth rates? It is perhaps the most important issue facing human beings today.
Watch it here:
Or listen here, or on any of the apps.
Oh, and I just did an interview with Ed Dutton on his page, though you will have to throw Ed some money to watch it. He is not foolish enough to give all this stuff away like me.
Speaking of which, you should check out my interview of Ed if you haven’t yet. This is one of my most popular episodes yet, and it’s about how we’re getting thicker as a society (amongst many other things). That one is here:
That is too many ‘call to actions’ for one post though. You should only really do one, or two max. But f*** the rules. Nick Dixon cannot be tamed.
And by the way, I am feeling much better after my recent mental health spazz out (can one still use such terms?). Thanks for all your support.
I actually have a forthcoming podcast with the Rev Dr Jamie Franklin about that, coming out on Monday. But that’s now four call to actions. Or actually it isn’t, because there’s no action to take on that yet.
Oh, and if you want to support me, you can become a paid subscriber to my about to be new and improved Substack here:
Or buy me a metaphorical coffee here.
That is an absurd amount of call to actions now, but remember most of them are just ‘Go and watch this awesome free content I’m giving you’.
I will go now because Substack is being annoying and there’s a weird delay between typing and it appearing onscreen.
But I think I have safely achieved my goal of lowering the quality bar for Substack posts this year.
I hope 2024 brings you all the Bugattis and hoes you could wish for.
Kind regards,
Nicholas J Dixon
Will enjoy your efforts for my part, don’t stop but don’t overdo it either! You can’t be everywhere all the time! Britain needs Nick Dixon!
Glad that things are working out for you. Keep buggering on.
