I wonder if Khan, as a Muslim, considers any aspects of Islam misogynistic?

What's misogynistic about believing that women are mere chattles and no higher up the evolutionary ladder than goats?

Khan is just another brick in the wall. (c) Pink Floyd.

I remember Tony Blair blurted out on live TV some years ago "our people are embedded in institutions worldwide". No one in the studio asked him exactly who "our people" are.

Slowly, but surely, we are seeing the master plan creeping out, institution by institution, and being spread by a similarly embedded, if not already fully captured mainstream media.

In just my lifetime, my country has traversed from being a generally tolerant one, with isolated pockets of badness and bigotry, through the era of political correctness, and now is moving towards forced authoritarian conformity. And it's gathering pace.

You can't say that. You can't bank here. You must have the jab. The science is settled. He is a She. Britain is racist. Eat bugs, or the planet dies. Biological sex is bunk. Britain needs immigration. Stay in your 15 minute zone. You can't use cash. Fossil fuels are evil. Primary school-aged kids need sex education.

This is a cancer, driven mainly by a collection of single interest minority pressure groups, dressed up as some sort of broader cultural enlightenment, and this old boy here is certain that this stuff impinges on wider basic freedoms, and creates needless division. Those pushing all of this crap are organised, and well funded.

What I'm less certain about is whether we have enough (or any) people in positions of power prepared to defend those freedoms. We have no idea how many of them at Westminster and Whitehall are "our people", and the fact that it was Blair who mentioned them in the first place does not necessarily mean "our people" are all socialists.

A general election won't sort things out, either. Our electoral system loads the dice heavily in favour of the established parties.

In my view, the "great push back" will have to be grass roots-driven.

Or perhaps we will face the dystopian future referenced by Nick

Since my TMS enjoyment was ruined by the introduction of female commentators (I just can’t listen to it now) I can only imagine how men must feel about the encroachment of women into men’s domains like football and rugby. It’s about as relevant as having one of the under 13s’ team players opining next to the likes of Glenn Mcgrath and Geoffrey Boycott! Madness. Why women cannot see the embarrassment of their situation is mystifying.

Regarding the locker room talk, it seemed extremely mild to me having overheard how some lorry drivers’ talk about women - genuinely toe-curling!

The commies in local government are living on a different planet.

Well said. I feel offended and I think you've explained why perfectly. Hopefully we'll see the reverse video made to address the similar mysandry commited by the opposite sex.

I'm waiting for the day it becomes illegal to be a man (if that exists anymore)

Anti white men.. there, corrected it for you, Nick. I have an idea for a protect women advert: 'ahmadte'. A group of MPs, including Khan, Starmer, Cameron et al, stood around a bed watching 12 Asian taxi drivers rape a 12 year old; with all the politicians shouting, 'ahmadte'..
