Agree Nick. In my youth I was a member of the Labour Party (I worked for a Trade Union!!), joined the Conservative Party about 30 years ago. Just left the Conservative Party. I have no political home. Where do we go? Who do we vote for? I have no answers.

Amen. Ex AUEW shop steward here, also served as Branch president. Doorstepped, leafleted, stuffed envelopes, did "telling" at the polling station mid 1980's for Blair's Labour. Was a Brexiteer before many, as I agreed with Benn, Shore, & Co.

Like Paul Emburey, watched the Labour party get further and further away from their core mission, so went Tory.

Same as you now. Politically homeless.

Ray, it is so good to hear from others with similar stories! I wish I had some answers! I worked at the Head Office of the Transport and General Workers’ Union, now Unite. We were in Transport House when the Labour Party was also based there.

I rather hope that the next UK general election signals the end of tribal politics.

When so many on this planet get absolutely no real electoral choice, it frankly disgusts me that if you stick a blue rosette on a wheelie bin in Henley, it will certainly be returned to parliament, just as the very same would happen in Liverpool were it a red one.

Too many never glance at manifesto's, they just parrot the soundbites spoon fed to them by those wishing to maintain a cosy status quo.

We've just all got a bit *fat and lazy* (euphemism) in postmodern Britain. I feel we all take for granted the sacrifices our forebears made to give today's citizen so much in terms of rights and freedom.

There needs to be a re-awakening. There needs to be a re-mobilisation.

The last one was the working class. Perhaps the next will be the aspirational class.

Oddly, leadership for that in the longer term could come from the church grass-roots.

Nick, this is accurate but depressing. I now practice escapism. I used to vote SNP until the last 3 years when I realised at how horrific they and their "woke" ideology are.

I want Scottish Independence and to remain out of Europe. I think if I started a party, it would be niche.

I lend my vote to Alba. SNP tried to jail Eck so he must have some good qualities. I reckon I would have a good night out with them so that's who I will vote for.

I can't take politics that seriously. The Conservative and Labour are Rinos and Dems, serving Morloch and selling their souls.

Keep up the good work, you make me smile. I've said it before GB News needs a steelman argument to counter Leo's and Neil's strawman Scottish independence arguments.
