Excellent article, Nick. I agree with every word.

I believe Trump is the West's last chance to defend itself, because if America falls the 'abyss' awaits.

Maybe it will be a WW111? If so, even that might focus a few minds as to what is really worth hanging on to and that they've been in danger of sleepwalking into a world that none had any idea could exist.

There’s a Western to be made there, the grizzled old cowboy, the retired rancher (John Wayne?) holding on to an old way of life, with the railroad baron bringing progress and money. But there’s another older playbook here, as per Jordan Peterson perhaps, where there is an existential tension between order and the chaos. In this context, order is patriarchal and masculine - harsh, objective love. Not sure how you describe the opposite force but Harris is definitely its embodiment.

The similarities between the increasing elite liberalization of the Labour Party here and the “Left” in the US draw ever closer!!! Many reasons for this of course, but in the US so often voters feel unable to state publicly their voting preferences as fear of seeming “uninformed and ignorant” prevails. I lived in Texas for many years and this was tangible in all aspects of life.

“Closet Republicans” I believe will be the decider in 10 days………meanwhile here the erosion of free speech gallops on shamefully!!

Excellent submission Nick…….gives us all something to think about!!!

Great article Nick. Missing The Current Thing, considering all the events of recent weeks. Interested to hear your thoughts on the Joe Rogan / Trump pod.

The perfect Trojan Horse hides an army that will passionately follow their orders without understanding their purpose. The perfect Trojan Horse is feminism. And feminism is Marxism. Packaged such that it appeals to men's natural tendency to protect, and to women's natural tendancy to control and manipulate, it marches mercilessly towards its goal with no resistance and expanding support; everyone can hear the drum of the boots on the cobbles but nobody knows the where those boots call home. But home is here and home is now. Trump Vs Harris is a natural conclusion to the invisible war waged from that Trojan Horse. Most people can now clearly see the spectre of Marx but, however, still cannot see his army.

Being around at the time feminism reared its ugly head in the UK, I have long shared your view.

Feminists - or the toxic man-hating element - overshot their supposed target by a country mile and created not only a worse world for women, but for everyone but you will never get them to admit it - you can't debate with 'stupid'.

And this is the thing -:both men and women are significantly worse off because of feminism. In some respects I'd argue that women have lost out the most - as paradoxical as that may sound.

Weak men pretending to be strong men whilst hiding predatory intentions, and strong women pretending to be weak women whilst hiding megalomaniac intentions, will always provide the fuel for the machine. It's a clever strategy. I've been saying the same thing about feminism for over two decades, always with a constant stream of ridicule and abuse. There is some hope though; there are now a small number of women with good values and who have the intuition to comprehend a different reality. And I honestly believe, given the current societal conditions, that you hold the key that can expose the cheap trickster behind the curtain.
