I always fall asleep listening to audiobooks and have to go back to where I remember. The timers a good shout 🫶

Good tips Nick.

One thing that really keeps my hand in with reading for long periods at a time is that I do a fair bit of international travel for work.

Next Monday I have a 13 hour flight from Manchester to Hong Kong, and although I'll doubtless watch a film or two and play a few games of patience, I'll also read for much of that time.

I'm not very sociable on work trips either, so I'll spend a lot of evenings in my room or the hotel bar with my Kindle.

Good tips. I was listening to your list from that year, and recognised a couple I read. The Human Factor was so long ago I can't remember a thing about it. But The Third Policeman is unforgettable ! People have asked me what it about, and I just had to say : "You just need to read it" ! Have you read any of his work as Myles na Gopaleen in the Irish Times, or The Poor Mouth ? I am Irish so maybe that work is more particular in its appeal.
