As you may have heard, Aslan is to be voiced by Meryl Streep in Netflix and Greta Gerwig’s upcoming version of The Magician's Nephew.
The film is also going to be some kind of rock opera, set in a completely different time period to the book.
In this new video, I look at why this act of cultural vandalism is so egregious in terms of attacking Christianity, ruining the very core of the story, and going against the spirt of Lewis’s entire oeuvre.
It is clearly very important to these people to take works of genius with a strong moral message and subvert them for their own causes. This is how our arts and culture have been completely destroyed.
This video appears on my books channel, so I have focused more on the literary aspects. But in this case the aesthetic, the theological, the cultural, and the political cannot be separated.
