Hello it is Nick. I am semi back from my illness, which I thought was food poisoning but I am now informed was more likely a stomach bug. Either way, it was awful.
One of my least favourite things is vomiting. I am unapologetically anti-vomit. Due to this tough stance, I indulge in it very, very rarely. In fact this was the first time I have engaged in it in my current flat, and I have been here six years.
I then didn’t eat for 60 hours, and after that just toast for several days. I am now eating somewhat normally again, suffering only vague nausea and tiredness.
The only positive is I have lost almost half a stone. One of the many negatives is I have found out the only person who cares about me is Leo Kearse. Who’d have thought? He is the only person who asked how I am. Including people I told point blank I was ill. They still didn’t care. I will not forget this.
I have to go back to work tomorrow. By which I mean, mouthing off on the TV. A dream job for many, but I’m not sure I’m up to it. Let’s see. Plus I now have it confirmed that no one there cares about my wellbeing (except Leo).
Anyway, I have just released a very interesting podcast with Mr Hugh Willbourn, a hypnotist, psychotherapist, and author. This conversation goes all over the place, in a good way.
Hugh talks about:
-Working as a hypnotist with Paul McKenna
-Why 2020 was the 'end of the enlightenment'
-Why the dominant orthodoxy is almost always wrong
-Whether events are explained more by conspiracy or incompetence
-Why Plato didn't write down his best ideas
-His solution to the gender wars
-How our culture has become inverted
-What he has learnt about the West from living in Vietnam
and loads more!

Also, if you appreciate these (free) podcasts, you can now buy me a coffee.
Obviously I’m only consuming toast and water, but it doesn’t mean an actual coffee you see. The link is here: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/nickdixon
Thank you so much.
Mega episode next week with one of your most requested guests! Oooooh, exciting.
Bye for now,

I generally don't ask people if they're feeling better when they're ill on the basis that I'll hear about it if they're not 😂
Sorry to hear you were unwell Nick. We value what you’re doing. All the best
